Located close to West Perth our clients are a multi-partner and 30 staff successful accounting practice and offer services to a wide range of clients within business advisory and taxation, SMSF, Bookkeeping, Research and development, Corporate finance and financial planning.

Due to growth the SMSF team now require the addition of an intermediate level SMSF accountant to join their already successful SMSF team.

The vacancy and experience required:

Prepare SMSF financials and income tax returns using software such as Class, BGL or SuperMate.

2 or more years experience in SMSF accounting either in public practice or SMSF Administration firm.

Proficient in SMSF Software and able to troubleshoot (Class or BGL360) and accounting packages.

Class Super Experience (preferred but not essential)

Solid understanding of SMSF Compliance and reporting obligations

Able to work independently and manage deadlines or as work as part of team.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Good client communication and strong client service focus.

Able to communicate well written and verbal with clients to obtain missing information or follow-up audit queries.

Able to liaise with external auditors and support SMSF audit process

Open to mentoring junior staff

Report into a highly experienced SMSF Manager

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or working towards) with CA/CPA qualification (or studying towards)

Must have permanent right to work in Australia

In return the successful candidate will receive:

Salary of between $80,000 to $85,000 + Super
