About the Opportunity

The Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission (GWIC) is looking for a committed and detail-oriented Greyhound Registration Officer to help uphold the integrity of the racing industry across New South Wales.

In this unique and hands-on role, you’ll be at the frontline of greyhound identification – performing ear tattooing and microchipping, supporting regulatory compliance, and helping safeguard animal welfare. Your work will directly support the Commission’s core mission to promote fairness, transparency, and integrity in greyhound racing.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform ear tattooing and microchipping of greyhounds across NSW to support accurate and secure identification

• Assist with drug detection sampling, swabbing, and veterinary inspections

• Complete required identification documentation in line with Commission policies and regulations

• Support other field-based integrity functions, including stewarding and compliance activities

• Engage with breeders, racing clubs, and industry stakeholders in a professional and informed manner

• Participate in ongoing training and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to animal welfare and integrity standards

• Willingness to travel frequently across NSW and work flexible hours as required

• Current NSW Class C Driver License

• Willingness to complete RSPCA-accredited microchipping certification (if not already obtained)

• A team player who can work autonomously and meet tight deadlines in a regulated environment
