About the Role:

Looking to supplement your Physiotherapy degree learnings and boost your career prospects? We're a friendly, inclusive, and supportive Physiotherapy team seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to provide essential support for our Physiotherapy services.

In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering delegated interventions, contributing to the well-being of our clients. While your main shifts will be on weekends in our Acute and Subacute Physiotherapy units, there's potential for casual weekday shifts with our AHA service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing tailored treatment programs for clients and their caregivers.
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment.
• Adhere to delegated authority guidelines in all tasks.
• Ensure a respectful and welcoming environment for patients, clients, visitors, and staff.
• Safely manage and maintain equipment, including conducting inspections and arranging repairs.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding any concerns related to patients or their families.

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential:

• Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or currently studying a Physiotherapy degree with at least 2 years completed. Students currently in their second year are welcome to apply, with successful applicants able to commence once they have received their second-year results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation, or care-provision settings.
