MP Biomedicals is the Australian subsidiary of a small and specialised global life sciences and biotechnology/biopharma supplier. We are the market leaders in several important niches, and we are set on an ambitious growth path to expand our Australian share of market in this diverse field.

We wish to appoint a dedicated Sales Executive to increase our industrial biochemicals and life sciences business in NSW/ACT and Queensland.

This critical role will report to the Country Manager and be supported by our small and friendly local team along with our experienced sales management and marketing teams based in the US, Singapore and China.

This job might be for you if you have a minimum of 2 years' experience selling to the biotechnology/biopharma industry and life sciences researchers. You'll need a bachelor degree, Masters or Ph.D level education in microbiology/molecular biology or extensive sales experience in the biological sciences or biotechnology/biopharma industries. Candidates seeking to transition from academia to sales and who can demonstrate the qualities we need will also be considered.

The successful applicant will be confident selling our range of molecular biology, cell biology and biochemicals products to research group leaders, procurement managers, purchasing managers, production managers, and higher management in universities, medical research institutes and biotech/biopharma companies in NSW/ACT and Queensland. A network of relevant contacts in these industries will be highly regarded.

We need someone who knows the NSW and Queensland biotechnology and/or research markets, is mature, customer focused and able to work with a minimum of supervision. To be successful in this role you will be a tenacious, resilient and high energy individual who does what it takes to maximise sales opportunities and close those opportunities always with the customer's satisfaction in mind.

You'll need to be proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite to perform efficiently in this role

You must be free to travel extensively and have a current driver's license to maximise sales in the entire territory. Sydney based is preferred.
