We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and drive the full lifecycle of solar PV projects – from site assessment through to commissioning – ensuring quality, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction are never compromised.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

Develop and manage detailed project plans including scope, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation for residential and commercial solar PV and battery installations

Conduct site feasibility assessments and collaborate with design teams on system layout, connection requirements, and technical specifications

Secure necessary approvals, permits, and compliance documentation including DNSP submissions, grid connections, and STC processing

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

Coordinate internal crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants across multiple active projects

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity on timelines, expectations, and technical issues

Maintain close working relationships with electrical supervisors, CEC-accredited designers/installers, and field technicians

Project Oversight & Reporting

Monitor project performance against scope, budget, and schedule, proactively identifying and mitigating risks or delays

Ensure all work is performed to current CEC standards, electrical safety regulations, and relevant building codes

Provide detailed reporting to management on project progress, financial tracking, and post-project reviews

HSE & Quality Assurance

Enforce safety procedures and site compliance across all project phases

Conduct toolbox meetings, pre-start checks, and regular site inspections

Champion a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in delivery

About You

We are looking for a results-driven, hands-on professional with a strong background in solar and battery project delivery across residential and/or commercial markets.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing construction or installation projects, with at least 3 years in solar PV systems (residential and/or commercial)

Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-site delivery and managing both internal teams and subcontractors

Sound technical understanding of solar system components, battery storage integration, and grid connection processes

Solid working knowledge of Clean Energy Council (CEC) guidelines, AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 3000 standards, and Victorian DNSP procedures

Strong commercial acumen – capable of managing budgets, procurement, and contract obligations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional client-facing approach

Competency in project management tools, Excel, and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar)

Valid Victorian driver’s licence and full Australian working rights

Desirable

Accreditation or hands-on knowledge of battery storage systems (e.g. Tesla, Sungrow, LG Chem)

Electrical trade background or relevant technical qualification

Experience working with builders, facility managers, or commercial property owners
