Small Sprouts Therapy is a welcoming, family-centred speech pathology clinic with a vision to grow and further support the communities in which we work. The opportunity has arisen for a Speech Pathologist to join our team. We welcome early career Speech Pathologists, and experienced therapists alike!
What the role needs:
An enthusiastic and driven speech pathologist to join a team of high energy and passionate speech pathologists providing paediatric assessment and therapy services to children aged 0-12 years, and their families.

Developmental disabilities & the neurodiverse population
Literacy, including dyslexia and school aged curriculum support
Social communication
AAC & complex communication profiles
Paediatric feeding assessment and intervention

What we offer:
Permanent full time or part time hours. Percentage FTE is negotiable and we welcome team members with a family looking for flexible hours.
Five weeks annual leave.
A huge amount of variety in your caseload. We work with private clients and NDIS participants from birth to 12 years, in our clinic, as well as online or in the community.
For early-career therapists, we offer a two-year New Graduate Program to ensure you are confident and comfortable working with a complex and diverse caseload. This includes paid registration and professional development leave to participate in the following courses:
Feeding Therapy Australia’s Responsive Feeding Course (or equivalent)
Sounds-Write Practitioner Training
Key Word Sign
Hanen More than Words OR It Takes Two to Talk Workshop
PODD Introductory Workshop (or other equivalent AAC training)
For experienced clinicians, we offer opportunities to develop your clinical skills in your interest areas, with an attractive annual professional development budget and paid professional development leave.

About us:

Therapists at Small Sprouts provide speech pathology assessment, therapy and support to children aged 0-12 years, and their families in clinic, day care or early education settings. We provide individual and group therapy services, and provide capacity building services to parents, carers and educators in our community. At Small Sprouts, we are passionate about supporting our clients and their families to grow and develop functional skills.
Our team currently consists of six speech pathologists and one support staff. We promote a culture of inclusion as well as continuous personal and professional development. We strongly value creativity, outside of the box thinking and a genuine passion for paediatric work. We believe in our staff having a good work life balance. Our full-time team members are currently offered a nine day fortnight work arrangement.
Our clients include; children with mild and complex communication needs, complex medical diagnoses and developmental disabilities, children who have culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and those who have complex social backgrounds, including children in out of home care.
About You:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic speech pathologist with a genuine passion for working with children. You must be a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia (or, be eligible and willing to become a member prior to beginning your employment). The ideal candidate will be highly organised, have exceptional communication skills and enjoy taking on a challenge.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor or Masters level degree in Speech Pathology
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Current federal police check (or ability to obtain one)
Queensland Blue Card
Unrestricted Driver’s licence
Eligible to apply for a Medicare Provider Number
