About the role

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Fruit and Veg Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to join the dedicated team at STIRLING IGA' in the Northern Suburbs & Joondalup area of Perth, WA. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the fresh produce section is well-stocked, presented and maintained to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the stock management and ordering of fresh fruit and vegetables

Ensuring the produce section is kept tidy, clean and visually appealing to customers

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering recommendations and answering queries

Placing and unpacking deliveries, rotating stock and maintaining appropriate stock levels

Following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures

Collaborating with the wider retail team to provide a seamless shopping experience

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably in a fresh produce or supermarket environment

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in fresh produce or supermarket retail

A genuine passion for fresh, quality produce and an ability to provide excellent customer service

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

Good physical fitness to perform tasks such as lifting, moving and stacking produce

Ability to lift and carry up to 20kg repeatedly throughout shift

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach to work

Must have valid right to work in Australia
