About the role

Reporting to our Clinical Manager and as part of our leadership team, this role’s dual purpose is to be a Team Leader (non clinical days) and a therapist (clinical days).

The OT part of this role is to improve the quality of life for the people we support:

• Managing your own mixed caseload across our client base,
• Working closely with participants and clients to improve their independence and achieve their goals and;
• Delivering quality outcomes.

The Team Leader part of this role in the dedicated to:

⦁ Be a leader, role model, coach, and support a small Allied Health Professional team,
⦁ Encourage and foster an environment of learning, development, and excellence,
⦁ Work with your team to identify areas where you and ILCT can support our people,
⦁Lead by example and role model expected behaviour and our values of Excellence, Trust, Respect and Justice.

Our organisation seeks a developing or skilled leader to provide support and operational management to a team of Allied Health Professionals and non-clinical support staff. The successful candidate will be expected to:

⦁ Provide professional supervision, performance reviews, training and education for the team,
⦁ Implement policy, procedures and clinical guidanc,e
⦁ Undertake discipline-specific clinical work at a senior clinician level,
⦁ Build and sustain stakeholder relationships,
⦁ Provide strategic direction for the company in collaboration with the Northern Team Leader, Clinical Manager and CEO,

About you:

• You have some experience and wish to further develop your leadership skills,
• You have`the confidence to ask for help, training and support,
• You are able to manage your time balancing a clinical case load and leadership expectations,
• You have clinical experience/qualification with current AHPRA registration requirements,
• Ability to implement new strategies and prioritise workloads,
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in identifying and resolving issues that may arise,
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills,
• Positive disposition and empathetic patient manner.
