Benesse Bunbury is looking for an experienced CASUAL CHEF to join our AUSTRALIND/BUNBURY cafes.
You will be apart of a dynamic team passionate about delivering beautifully plated, top-quality food in a stylish and busy cafe!

Benesse has been a reputable and iconic South-West destination for locals and tourists. With three stylish and thriving venues in Australind, Bunbury and Busselton - Benesse is known for its fast, friendly service and delicious, carefully plated and innovative food.

Since opening in October 2023 Benesse Busselton has been thriving. You will be part of a hard working team passionate about delivering top-quality food ensuring flavour, creativity and taste are the backbones of every creation. You must have prior experience in a high-volume breakfast and lunch service kitchen.

We are looking to bring a casual chef into the team with shifts at our Bunbury and/or Australind cafes as needed.

About the Role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

fast and efficient breakfast and lunch service, ensuring plating is consistent and to the high standard that Benesse sets

maintain a clean, hygienic and organised work environment

demonstrate techniques and knowledge on cooking procedures

takes a proactive approach to ensuring kitchen runs smoothly and all daily tasks are completed

liaise with the front of house team to ensure service runs smoothly

adhere to and ensure all daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed

routinely discuss food preparation or service issues with Head Chef, Kitchen Team and Front of House Team

About You

Successful candidates will need:

Minimum qualification of Certificate 3, 4 or Diploma in Commercial Cookery

A minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume venue of similar style

Food Handlers Certificate or willing to get before commencing work

Must be able to work well in a team and communicate effectively

Able to work well under pressure and stay calm in fast-paced work environment

Current right to work in Australia
