Business Manager
Pay rate: $450 - $500 per day + super
Start Date: Asap
End Date: 6 months from commencement
Location: Sydney CBD
About your new role
The Business Manager role will coordinate high-level business support services to ensure the efficient
functioning of the Branch. The role will also contribute to the management of all cross-functional issues affecting
the group such as safety, financial and Human Resources management, business processes, reporting, strategic
planning and organisational improvement.
Key accountabilities
- Coordinate business processes for the Branch, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives.
- Draft strategies and plans for approval by the branch to be translated into meaningful performance targets, as well as provide assurance and regular reporting for senior management.
- Provide advice, technical expertise and operational support to the unit and the division's main functions on a wide variety of business matters, including HR, finance and procurement submissions.
- Prepare complex correspondence, briefing notes and reports in relation to specific projects, initiatives and issues ensuring that submissions are accurate, timely and have appropriate approvals.
- Contribute to the sound financial management for the unit/ branch including planning, budgeting, reporting and control.
- Assist in the procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and providing strategic advice and assurance to the Executive Director on all procurement submissions.
- Manage administrative support functions for the Executive Director including office procedures, purchasing and records management and workflows and ensure compliance of the division/branch with corporate administrative policies and procedures.
