Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our award-winning dealership as an Assistant Used Car Sales Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the General Sales Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our used vehicle sales department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales/Team Management:

- Assist the Pre-Owned Used Car Sales Manager in supervising and motivating the sales team to achieve sales goals and targets.

- Provide guidance, training, and support to sales staff to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.

- Monitor individual and team performance.

2. Customer Service:

- Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to vehicle delivery.

- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.

- Foster a customer-centric culture within the sales team, emphasizing the importance of building long-term relationships with customers.

3. Inventory Management:

- Collaborate with the General Sales Manager to maintain an optimal inventory of pre-owned vehicles, ensuring a diverse selection that meets customer demands.

- Assist in appraising trade-in vehicles, conducting market research, and determining competitive pricing strategies.

- Monitor vehicle merchandising, ensuring that vehicles are properly cleaned, photographed, and displayed to attract potential buyers.

4. Sales Performance and Reporting:

- Assist in setting sales targets and developing strategies to achieve them.

- Monitor sales performance, analyzing data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights and recommendations to the Pre-Owned Used Car Sales Manager and senior management.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including proper documentation and record-keeping.

- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in the pre-owned vehicle sales landscape.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in automotive sales, preferably in a pre-owned vehicle sales environment.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Proficient in using sales management software, CRM and Autogate.

- Knowledge of automotive financing is advantageous.

Training: Ongoing support and training will be provided as well as regular performance evaluation and feedback.
