About the role
Mary Help of Christians Catholic College, Shaw is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teacher - English and Humanities (Part Time or Full Time). The successful applicant will need to possess the qualifications and/or ability to teach English and Humanities. The ability to teach Religious Education is desirable, but not necessary.
This role will commence on Monday, 18 August, 2025, working 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day in a Classroom Teaching capacity. Part time arrangements will be based on suitability.
As the college continues to grow, the opportunity may arise for a permanent teaching role.
The Principal also welcomes applications from experienced upper primary teachers who desire a transition to teaching in the secondary context, as well as early career teachers who are seeking a supportive and nurturing environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other
Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
Current Driver’s Licence
Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
