Willoughby City Council is seeking a motivated and community-minded Casual Youth Services Worker to join our Youth Services team. This role plays a vital part in delivering programs and services that foster wellbeing, inclusion, and resilience among young people in our community.

About the role
As a Casual Youth Services worker, you will:
Support the delivery of inclusive, youth-centred programs and events
Build respectful, supportive relationships with young people, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
Address behavioural issues and manage challenging situations professionally
Assist with referrals to external support services when required
Maintain accurate program records, statistics, and incident reports
Ensure the Youth Centre is safe, clean, and fit for purpose
Support program planning, implementation, and evaluation alongside the Youth Services team
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualifications (or current study) in Youth Work, Social Sciences or related discipline
Demonstrated experience working with young people
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviours and situations calmly and respectfully
Understanding of youth assessment, advocacy and referral pathways
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Experience in program delivery and evaluation
Working With Children Check
Commitment to child safety and participation in relevant training
