St Paul’s Early Learning Centre is a vibrant and nurturing early learning centre located in Rapid Creek, Darwin. We're committed to providing a high-quality, play-based curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in a supportive and stimulating environment. We're currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our collaborative and passionate team.
About the Role
As a full-time Early Childhood Teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the learning journey of young children. You'll work alongside a passionate team to deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum that supports children’s development and fosters a lifelong love of learning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing a play-based, developmentally appropriate program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports each child's needs and interests.
Building respectful, collaborative relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in their child’s learning journey.
Maintaining accurate documentation of children's learning and progress.
Working closely with the leadership team to contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Upholding compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) requirements.
Leading and mentoring a team of dedicated educators within your room.
Participating in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent), or currently working towards one.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
A strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and early years pedagogy.
Proven experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher in an ELC/preschool setting.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A passion for creating inclusive, responsive, and meaningful learning experiences.
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
