White Technics is growing. With over 30-years of industry experience, we have an opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Electrical Protection and Earthing Design Specialist to join our team. The role will include the electrical software modelling, review, documentation/reporting and protection rectification of multiple industrial sites.

Candidate Requirements:

Detailed knowledge of protection system philosophies and related software modelling

Demonstrated eTAP experience including creation of component models and integration with AutoCAD

Demonstrated PowerCAD experience

Experience with SafeGrid Earthing Design Software preferred (but not essential)

Highly proficient in the completion of power system studies (arc fault studies, protection co-ordination studies, load flow and earthing designs)

Demonstrated excellent report writing skills in English using Microsoft Word

Ability to work unsupervised and directly with clients

Competent to attend sites for data gathering and protection review of existing systems

High attention to detail

Working out of our Ringwood office

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Desirable Abilities:

Electrical Engineering Degree (and a goal to become CPEng / NER registered)

AutoCAD experience in completing detailed electrical design work (control schematics, SLD's, termination diagrams and related)

Demonstrated SKM PowerTool for Windows (PTW32) experience including creation of component models

IEEE1584 & NFPA70E Experience (Arc Flash)

ENA 045 (Substation Earthing Guide)

About the Job:

Working directly with the company technical director, you shall be providing protection design and arc flash reporting to a variety of our electrical clients

Typical projects include 415v – 66kV systems for complex industrial and high voltage environments
