The role of the Head Chef reports to the Client Services Manager and is a key in the Client Services team and will suit an experienced Head Chef who is passionate about working in an environment that welcomes creativity whilst you cater for café food, buffet lunches, formal lunches and dinners, cocktail parties, breakfasts, morning teas and interactive events.

The firm with move to their new office space in Brisbane's CBD in June 2026, which will bring together a state-of-the-art kitchen and a multifaceted space, including a 'winter garden', enabling them to host the most incredible events. This is truly a career opportunity for a cuisine designer/chef that wants to make a statement by their menu offerings.

Your key responsibilities will include;

• Develop and deliver menus within allocated charges and budget, seasonable availability and are well balanced and varied.
• Facilitate daily operation of kitchen and preparation of breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, lunches, formal lunches/dinners, cocktail events, after hours meals, sandwiches and other relevant catering requirements.
• Provision of catering on client floor to the highest standard for Partners, Clients and Staff.
• Mentor and lead all kitchen staff, providing support for daily duties and develop productive, inter-personal relationships.
• Develop new supplier relationships and maintain strong relationships with existing preferred suppliers.
• Utilise booking software to report and record daily menu costings, ordering and invoices.
• Manage casual staffing requirements, timesheets and staff leave.
• Liaise with Client Services Manager regarding daily/weekly/monthly client and internal catering requirements and assist with planning of workflow accordingly.

To be successful in this role you will be a commercially qualified Head Chef, with broad experience across various hospitality environments and cuisines. You’ll excel in an environment that is constantly changing and where your creativity is valued as well as your ability to lead, mentor and guide a team, in a hands on small team environment.
