Meatmaiden is one of the world's best steakhouses - and we're now looking for a Senior Wait Person who is the perfect match when it comes to their passion for wine.

Our bustling underground shrine to all things meat, with its very individual guest-focused approach to service, is one of Melbourne's much-loved institutions and we're now looking for the right experienced hospitality professional to join the team and represent our wine list.

This is a hands-on front of house role - you must be able to excel in your own section, while being happy to help others, but also absolutely love taking the time to talk all things wine with guests. You'll get to know our list of 200 local and international drops intimately, learn it all inside out and upside down, and be able to relay that knowledge and passion at the table. Alongside our managers, you'll be the go-to person on wine.

You'll be across your varietals and have a strong understanding of wine culture and how food and wine work together, especially in relation to our premium produce from the smoker and grill.

Ideally, you'll have minimum one-year experience in a similar role and be able to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment. Qualifications such as WSET are a bonus if you have them, but the most important thing is a passion for and love of wine. Your personality must shine through - we're not a stuffy venue, but we do maintain high standards.

We're open Tuesday to Saturday and the occasional Sundays and you must have full availability and flexibility.

You'll be joining a fun and established team with plenty of room to grow and develop and there'll be ongoing training to expand your knowledge. We're just a great venue to be a part of.
