About the Position

We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team's within Grace Medical Skin and Vein Centre and Grace Family Practice Bargara.

You will be providing reception coverage across both our clinic, supporting dedicated and passionate doctors who offer a broad range of services.

Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

Excellent customer service with a welcoming smile and attitude – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.

Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.

Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations with using eftpos and Hicaps.

Effective management of patient appointment types

General administration and daily office duties

Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager

Arranging of appointments using Best Practice software

Answer, connect and transfers telephone calls

Receive and distribute correspondence, facsimile messages and deliveries

Liaise with GP's and other health professionals

Handling patients enquiries with, confidently care and efficiency

General administrative duties and support

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information

Ability to work under pressure is a must as this role is in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a team and independently

High level attention to detail

Previous Medical Reception experience with using Best Practice would be an advantage however not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate
