About the engagement:
Green Light is partnering up with a leading company to engage Azure Cloud Engineer to join the technology team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Azure administration, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive continuous improvement across our cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance, manage, and support Azure cloud environments including virtual networks, compute, storage, and identity services.
• Monitor system health and performance, and troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure issues including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
• Design and implement security measures aligned with best practices to protect cloud-based systems and data.
• Manage Backup, Restore, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability configurations.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bicep for repeatable and consistent deployments.
• Evaluate and automate scaling and capacity needs across environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams to integrate Azure services into CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows.
• Create and maintain documentation for Azure environments, configuration settings, and procedures.
• Support and maintain Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and related authentication and directory services.
• Work with minimal supervision while managing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience implementing Azure Landing Zones in alignment with Microsoft best practices.
• Expertise in Backup, Recovery, and High Availability strategies in Azure environments.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for Azure performance, security, and connectivity issues.
• Experience working in DevOps environments with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bicep.
• Solid understanding of complex directory services including Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, as well as familiarity with firewalls, switching, and routing technologies.
• Active NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
