About the role

Are you a caring, detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care? We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team at Park Street Dental in South Melbourne. In this role you will provide essential support to our dentist and hygienists, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our patients.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Assist our principal dentist and hygienists during procedures by providing chairside support
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and provide instructions for post-treatment care
• Process radiographs, and maintain accurate patient records
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Occasional light reception duties
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent customer service to all patients

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded but is not essential
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
• Proficient in using dental equipment and software (Dental4Web)
• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe, clean work environment according to infection control protocols
