Sapphire Support is a Disability & Mental Health specialist in the SIL-SDA-CP ADL space we are growing and we’re inviting experienced and passionate Support Workers to join our Sunshine Coast Parttime/Casual Pool. How we support you:
· Paid training: We provide training shifts (buddy) with participants, so you know what we know!
· We proved detailed information in house manuals, with easy reference when on shift.
· Via our software system you have access to group chats to see what other support professionals are saying, so you are fully informed.
· You have direct access to your Team Leader and or Client Support Officer, on top of this you have access to the Operations Manager, and finally the CEO has an open-door policy, in which anyone can contact him!
We value your time:
· Above-award rate for Sleepover allowances
· We link sleepovers with good length shifts to make it worthwhile.
· Early access to shifts (rosters released 2–3 weeks in advance) and we are introducing a master roster in which will be 3 to 4 weeks ahead.
· If you work weekends and they exceed 10 weekends in a year, you received an extra week’s annual leave (If permanent parttime)

What We’re Looking For:
You will need or are prepared to get :
· At Minimum 12-18 months' experience in SIL environments
· A calm, non-judgemental approach with strong professional boundaries
. Ability to deflect and reduce trigger points for participants
· Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts (including overnight, maybe weekend and be open to picking up shifts on short notice, if available )
· Certificate III or higher in Disability is highly regarded (Or you are willing to undertake Cert 3 training courses to lift your qualifications)
· Confidence supporting participants with diverse and complex needs, including:
· Intellectual or physical disability
· Dementia (Preferred but not essential)
· Epilepsy, diabetes & catheter management (Preferred but not essential)
· Hoisting & high personal care (We can recommend hoisting training course if you don’t have this skill set)
Where You Might be required to Work:
Locations include (but aren’t limited to):
Nambour, Banya, Nirimba, Baringa, Landsborough, Buderim, and Bli Bli.
What You’ll Need
· NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Yellow Card)
· Blue Card
· Open QLD Driver’s Licence
· Reliable car with comprehensive insurance
· Current First Aid & CPR certificates
· Smartphone with data
· Completion of NDIS ‘Quality, Safety and You’ module
