Heritage College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Junior Science Teacher to join our Secondary team. This is a full-time, permanent position, open to both graduate and experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will be passionate about teaching science to junior secondary students and committed to supporting student learning in a Christ-centred environment.

The position is available for an immediate start.

Heritage College provides co-educational Christian education from 3 and 4-year-old Early Learning through to Year 12.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

• Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes
• Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students
• Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals
• Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system
• Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the college's Christian-based ethos
• Be able to plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education
• VIT Registered Teacher
