Salary Range: $90,281 (1st year) - $129,000 (11th year)
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract until 9 December 2025 - with view to continue in 2026!

About the Role
This full-time fixed-term position has arisen due to a staff member relocating and offers a Term 3 2025 (or Term 4) start. You will teach Year 11 Chemistry, along with Year 8 and Year 10 General Science. This role requires an educator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the confidence and expertise to step into senior classes and deliver curriculum with clarity, enthusiasm, and structure.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking the person - someone who will not only fill the role but thrive in it:
Experienced in delivering Year 11 Chemistry, with a strong grasp of VCE curriculum.
Passionate about junior science, bringing energy, creativity, and curiosity to Year 8 and 10 classrooms.
Forward-thinking and goal-orientated, always striving for both student success and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
A strong advocate for girls’ education, recognising the unique strengths and challenges of educating young women and committed to helping them excel both academically and personally.
Able to step confidently into a high-performing team and contribute from day one.
Skills and Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in Year 11 Chemistry and General Science (Years 8 and 10).
Use data-informed practice to drive student growth.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
Actively participate in the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school.
Uphold and promote the school’s values and commitment to girls’ education.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary teaching qualification.
VIT Registration (or ability to obtain).
Proven experience teaching Year 11 Chemistry essential.
Full working rights in Australia.
Willingness to support and contribute to the Anglican ethos of the school.
