Centre Cook 5 days Mon to Fri - Childs Play Early Learning POINT COOK

Are you passionate about cooking and love working with children? Childs Play Early Learning Point Cook are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic cook to join the team!

We're seeking someone who will enjoy involving children in the cooking process, promote curiosity and encourage development of their appreciation for food. You'll bring your experience and creativity to the table, creating menus with some input from parents/educators/children, to be enjoyed by the children, while ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious and delicious meals for children, adhering to dietary requirements, health guidelines and the Food Safety Plan.

- Plan menus that promote healthy eating habits.

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

- Placing orders – on-line

- Ensure all audits are uptodate and documented on OWNA (app)

- Must be experienced with allergy preparation processes etc

You Will Need:

-A valid food handling/food safety certificate
-Hold/willing to obtain a WWCC.
-Cert 3 in Childcare is desirable but not essential

This is a permanent position. Shift times generally 8am to 4pm

Must have at least 2 years experience cooking in an early learning centre with 80+ children daily
