About the role

Access Home care and travel' is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Croydon, NSW. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. This full-time or part-time position offers flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Providing companionship and social support to clients through engaging activities and conversation

Helping with light household duties, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry

Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, or running errands

Monitoring clients' health and well-being and reporting any changes to the care team

Promoting client independence and encouraging self-care where possible

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for supporting the elderly and disabled population

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Prior experience in a similar role, or a strong interest in the aged and disability support industry

A compassionate and patient approach, with a focus on person-centred care

Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable)
