Buffalo Recruitment is seeking an experienced HME Mobile Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join a high-performing team supporting a large-scale open-pit mining operation near Coober Pedy. This site operates with a fleet of Hitachi EX1200 diggers, CAT 777 trucks, CAT wheel loaders, and a range of ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and optimise short- and medium-term maintenance schedules

Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance across heavy mobile equipment (HME)

Liaise with supervisors, leading hands, and parts/service providers to ensure parts availability and timely repairs

Monitor compliance with maintenance KPIs and statutory requirements

Ensure accurate documentation in CMMS (such as Pronto, SAP, or similar)

Requirements:

Proven experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler in a mining or heavy equipment environment

Strong knowledge of HME maintenance, especially with Hitachi and Caterpillar equipment

Competence in maintenance planning software and systems

Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills

Trade qualification or relevant mechanical background preferred
