Tasks & responsibilities

This part-time remote position requires an Intermediate Accountant with a strong understanding of public practice. Responsibilities include preparing tax returns for various entities, creating financial statements for business clients, communicating with the ATO, assisting with advisory services and tax planning, and handling other miscellaneous tasks.

Qualifications & experience

Ideal candidates for this role will possess a degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting firm, accompanied by qualifications such as IPA/CA/CPA. They should demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, proven experience in preparing financial statements, proficiency in Xero, XPM, and Xero Tax software, comprehensive knowledge of tax planning and compliance, and the ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote setting.
