We are looking for an experienced psychologist to support women and their families in the perinatal period – ranging from preconception, pregnancy, preparing for birth, postnatal period and early years parenting.

The Village Around Me is a private practice currently offering therapeutic services via Telehealth, Home Visit, and Clinic appointments. The current position is for a psychologist to offer part-time hours under a subcontractor agreement.

We are currently seeking applicants looking to offer in-clinic appointments at our beautiful purpose-designed perinatal hub space in Glenelg South, and if they wish, home-visit appointments.

This is a flexible position where you choose your hours of work - clinic sessions are subject to availability but we have a case load of clients currently on our waitlist, and a growing referral base.

We are currently a team of 3 Psychologists and offer full Administration support. Our consulting rooms are also used by a variety of professionals including general psychologists, dietetics, and naturopathy.

We also host our group space to other professionals in the perinatal field including yoga, pilates, and birth workers, and the applicant is welcome to use our space for any group therapies or workshops they wish to run.

The position includes clinical supervision and there are supervision options for those seeking clinical endorsement, so early career psychologists are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Full and current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist.

Registered Medicare provider, or eligibility to apply for provider number to offer services under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.

Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Competency in evidence-based psychotherapy approaches.

Current police check and working with children clearance.

ABN or willing to obtain.

Experience in working with parents/families in a clinical capacity.

Experience and/or interest in perinatal psychology.

Interest in seeking out professional development in the area of Perinatal Psychology.
