About the role

We are seeking a Registered General/Clinical Psychologist Contractor to join our team at ‘South Perth Counselling & Psychological Services' on a part time contractor basis beginning July 1st, 2025 with the opportunity to increase to full time hours over time. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive and experienced environment and make a real difference in the lives of our clients. The role offers flexibility (working your own preferred) hours and can be based at your Home, Own Office or a combination of Remote Services via Telehealth. There is also the option of using our residential office in Fremantle if required.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and providing evidence-based psychological interventions to a diverse range of clients

Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to address clients' mental health needs

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care

Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional and organisational standards

Participating in regular supervision and continuing professional development activities

Contributing to the overall growth and development of the counselling services team

Conducting Medico-Legal Assessments and writing Legal & Court Appointed Reports (training provided).

What we're looking for

Registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a community-based mental health setting

Excellent clinical assessment and therapeutic skills, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centred approach

Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the growth of the organisation

For the right candidate, there is also the option of purchasing the Psychology Clinic over the long term.
