About You
Are you passionate and motivated to improve the lives of those living with mental disorders? Can you resolve conflict & deal with practical issues to support others and achieve outcomes?

Additional attributes we are looking for include:

• Previous experience and understanding in supporting individuals with mental health needs, particularly Autism & challenging behaviours.
• Demonstrates patience, emotional resilience, effective listening skills, and adaptable communication techniques.
• Strong ability to advocate for others and develop sustainable support networks.
• Capable of making a positive impact both independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
• Resilient, with the ability to adapt to challenges and remain focused under pressure
• Proficient in using IT systems on both computer and mobile platforms.

About the Role
We assist & support individuals (consumers) in their own homes and community to develop skills and abilities to gain independence to complete day to day tasks. Our goal is to enable rather than do, to promote independence, development and confidence of the individuals. Our success will enable them to have the voice and choice to thrive in their local communities.

The role entails:

• Provide support to consumer 1:1 & 2:1 in their own home and community setting
• Meet the individual needs according to an established behavioural support plan
• Developing professional relationships with individuals, their families and others in the community
• Providing accurate and timely case notes so that others can provide a consistent experience for the individual
• Provide support to assist consumers to work towards their individual goals

Our office is based in Geelong, and we offer support to participants in the Winchelsea area.

Suitable candidates would be available for a variety of shifts including a combination of the following:
Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 5pm-10pm includes sleepover, 6am-9:30am.
Friday 5pm-10pm includes sleepover, 6am-9:30am. Saturday 9am-5:30pm, Sunday 9am-4pm

It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence.
