Services and Programs Officer

Corrective Services NSW

Location - Junee Correctional Centre (Junee)

Employment type - Ongoing Full-time role

Salary - $97,027 pa -- $107,059 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Your role

You'll be instrumental in shaping futures by providing vital services such as assessment, case planning, and crisis support interventions for offenders and remandees.

Your role will help ensure their safe, secure, and humane management in a correctional centre while working to reduce re-offending.

But as a stop on the major Melbourne-Sydney railway line, this pretty country town is also home to a fascinating railway museum. And then there's the haunted house and heritage streetscapes.

What you'll do

As part of the dedicated Services and Programs Officer team at Junee, you will:

  • Manage intake screening, induction, assessment, support, and case management, including detailed reporting
  • Deliver accredited or approved group programs, health promotion, and harm reduction strategies for offenders, along with individual interventions
  • Handle crisis situations, assist with pre-release planning, and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS) standards.

What we're looking for

  • A proactive and dedicated individual with a background in social work or experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours
  • Someone with a positive mindset who is naturally resilient and able to build strong, constructive relationships within a multidisciplinary team setting.
