Technical Talent Specialist

As our Technical Talent Specialist, you’ll sit within the EVP Talent team and work closely with founders, talent leads, and hiring managers across the portfolio. Your role is to build strong pipelines of top-tier technical talent, help shape the recruitment strategy for early-stage startups, and ensure our companies can attract and retain the best people in tech.
What You’ll Do
Lead or support end-to-end recruitment processes for key technical hires (e.g. engineers, product managers, CTOs)
Source and engage exceptional candidates using platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, and niche communities
Share best practices on hiring strategy, employer branding, compensation benchmarking, and candidate experience
Help write job descriptions, screen and interview potential candidates, facilitate interviews, and ensure our portfolio companies are able to attract best in class technical talent
Track hiring performance and provide regular insights to both portfolio founders and our VC team
Build and maintain a curated talent network to accelerate future hiring needs
What You’ll Bring
2–5 years' experience in technical recruitment, talent acquisition, or embedded talent roles from agency or in-house
Knowledge of the startup and scale-up landscape, ideally within Australia or New Zealand, or the United States
Ability to quickly understand diverse hiring needs across engineering, product, and data teams
Excellent sourcing, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
A founder-first mindset—you’re resourceful, pragmatic, and motivated by impact
About EVP
We operate out of our office in Bondi Junction, Sydney. We support our team to WFH and flexibly as required but this role does require in-office attendance (3 days a week).
We also offer 16 weeks of paid parental leave and encourage & support our team to continue to learn & develop their skills in areas both directly and indirectly related to their work.
