About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced & knowledgeable CNC Manager to join our production team and lead by example, using a hands-on approach to effectively manage the CNC department and ensure a smooth flow of work.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach and motivate the team to produce large volumes of product, ensuring quality standards and production timelines are met

Assist with general maintenance of machinery and oversee WHS & housekeeping requirements within CNC department

Oversee a team of up to 40 employees across multiple shifts

What We’re Looking For:

Personal Attributes

Planning and organisational skills

Sound numeric skills and an eye for detail & accuracy

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and get along with others in a positive and constructive manner

Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot issues and make good decisions under pressure

Essential

At least 5 years’ experience in a joinery / manufacturing environment, operating CNC machines and edge banders

Proven people management experience and strong leadership skills

Knowledge of CAD / CAM processes and S2M interface with CNC

Strong appreciation for compliance with Quality & WHS systems

Desirable

Relevant trade qualifications

Knowledge of Homag machinery

Experience working with a board storage loading system
