We’re Looking for Someone With:
A genuine interest in animal husbandry and welfare
A love for the outdoors and hands-on work
Flexibility to work across weekends, weekdays and public holidays (penalty rates apply)
A valid driver’s license is essential (manual highly desirable)
About Us
Founded in 1988, Julie’s Boarding Kennels and Cattery is WA’s leading boarding facility, operating 365 days a year. As a family-owned business, we’re committed to providing the highest level of care for pets of all shapes and sizes.
About the Role
Our Animal Attendants receive full training and work primarily with dogs. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the health, hygiene, and happiness of our boarding guests. Duties include:
Cleaning and sanitising kennels, runs and equipment
Monitoring animal health and reporting any concerns
Feeding, administering medication, and bathing dogs as needed
Providing enrichment and exercise
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
Provide collection of stray animals on behalf of the City of Swan
Assist in the departure of pets to their owners as directed by Customer Service, Management, Facility Supervisor or Rescue Coordinator.
What We’re Looking For
A team player who is reliable, responsible, and willing to learn
Previous experience in boarding kennels, farming or equine care is an advantage
Strong physical fitness and stamina
A sharp eye for detail and hygiene
Calm under pressure and confident with animals
Able to commit to a minimum of 28–35 hours per week (potential for more hours to appropriate candidates)
Shift requirements are currently:
7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and/or
2:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
