R & G Timber Components located in Thomastown, is a family owned and run business, established in 1972. We are a supplier of high quality solid timber components for the Melbourne furniture industry and surrounding areas.

Our factory contains over 80 state of the art machinery including computer numerical control (also computer numerical control, commonly called CNC) Routers, Point to Point, Docking and Moulding machines.

We also have the machinery to complete jobs requiring wide belt sanding to 1300mm, re-sawing, multi ripping and large timber lamination capacity.

About the Role

We have a current vacancy for a Wood Machinist to join the team.

Your daily duties would include but not be limited to:

• Assisting sander, edging, Moulder and other various duties
• Attention to detail
• Forklift license beneficial but not necessary
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Some experience in the timber industry beneficial but not essential.

• Safety conscious and able to follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Guaranteed commitment to shift times, being flexible and punctual
• Ability to conduct physical work in hot and cold environments
