Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving meaningful change? We’re partnering with a prestigious institution to find an Associate Director, a pivotal role for someone who thrives on shaping culture, optimising service delivery, and inspiring teams to achieve their best.
About the Role
This is not your typical operations role. As Associate Director, you’ll lead a diverse team responsible for the seamless delivery of essential services across a large and complex portfolio. You’ll have the autonomy to influence strategy, champion innovation, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. With a major organisational review on the horizon, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future structure and operational model, ensuring the institution remains at the forefront of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Drive and implement change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Oversee the delivery of integrated maintenance, grounds, fleet, cleaning, security, and minor works services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and risk management frameworks.
- Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from executive leaders to frontline teams and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, and quality standards.
- Champion sustainability, innovation, and best practice in all aspects of operations.
- Prepare and present clear, strategic reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Who We’re Looking For
- A proven leader with experience in complex, service-driven environments—your background could be in operations, property, infrastructure, hospitality, or another sector where people and service matter.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams through change and transformation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and contracts.
- A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable, but proven leadership and change management experience are paramount.
Why Join?
- Attractive salary up to $220,000 + super (pro rata), with flexible work arrangements including part-time options for the right candidate.
- Be part of a values-driven, inclusive culture that celebrates diversity, innovation, and professional growth.
- Opportunity to shape the future of a leading institution and contribute to a significant organisational transformation.
- Work with passionate, talented colleagues in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
