Open Access College plays an important and critical role in addressing educational disadvantaged for South Australian Students who are not able to attend school in person or are unable to access aspects of the full curriculum at their local school. The College is a leader in distance education and operates from Campuses located in Adelaide and Port Augusta. The College caters for Reception to Year 12 students, providing dynamic and innovative teaching and learning programs.
This is a TEMPORARY POSITION 21/07/2025 to 21/01/2027, at Open Access College, Marden campus.
Hours per Week: 37.5 hours p/week (leave conditions)
The Administration Services Leader will be responsible for the effective leadership of the Administration Services functions and team. Open Access College is a multi-campus site, catering for students with complex needs. Total enrolment is approximately 1500 FTE, consisting of nearly 4,100 students. Student cohort consists of College Based Students (with 80+% having significant medical and psychological issues), curriculum choice students and Language Partnership Students.
The Administration Leader is responsible for administration staff located at both campuses. In addition, liaison is required with our local partnership who access facilities and resources at our site on a weekly basis. The nature of our parent body and school partners, often means that enquiries are escalated to the Administration Services Leader.
This leader oversees, coordinates and ensures front office; communication and events, executive services, daily management, WHS and document management needs of the college are met. In addition, this leader is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a broad range of data analysis, reporting and advisory services.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their:
Proven ability to provide effective leadership in a demanding, dynamic and solution-focused environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality and to develop and sustain sound working relationships with managers, staff, students, parents and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
Proven experience leading high-performing teams, including supporting staff development, driving service improvement and managing change.
Demonstrated experience in overseeing a range of administrative functions across a multi-site organisation, including systems and process design, policy implementation and service delivery.
Sound knowledge of document management, archiving and WHS management policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment, and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation.
