Position Overview:
We are seeking both full-time and casual Front Office Receptionists to join our team at Quest Woolloongabba. In this role, you’ll be the face of the hotel, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. Responsibilities include handling reservations, managing front office duties, processing payments, and responding to guest inquiries with a friendly and proactive approach.
Responsibilities:
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in process
Assist with guest inquiries, providing information on hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
Handle reservations, check-outs, and payment processing efficiently and accurately
Update records in the hotel’s reservation system as needed
Respond promptly to guest requests, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
Manage room allocations, rooming lists, and booking charts
Coordinate room service and manage orders with local restaurant partners
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures while delivering excellent service
Manage opening and closing procedures (AM and PM shifts)
Requirements:
Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is essential
Completion or ongoing study of a Hotel or Tourism degree/diploma is advantageous
Proven experience in a role requiring responsibility and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused attitude
Proficiency with reservation or booking systems and computer applications
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding service
Must be available to work a range of shifts Monday to Friday, weekends, and public holidays
General shift times are from 7 am - 3 pm and from 2 pm - 10 pm
