Fuse Recruitment are seeking experienced Production workers with forklift operating experience for temp to perm roles to work with one of our Chemical manufacturing clients based in Wetherill Park.
These roles are working 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday with overtime available.

The Role: Production / Forklift Operator
Working within a team of 20 production workers this role will see you completing manufacturing Machine Operating roles across multiple disciplines in the business. From, chemical products, Paint drum filling, Aerosol filling, Counter Balance and High Reach forklift operating to general production and packing duties.

Your main duties will involve:

Machine Operating:

• Machinery operation, from start up, running, troubleshooting through to final product completion
• Unpacking of goods for each required production run
• Set up machinery for each production run
• Load products such as Aerosol cans, paint cans, liquid drums, bottles and more into machinery per order specifications

Forklift Operating:

• Counter balance forklift operation to move goods to and from the production line to the despatch and racking pick face
• High Reach forklift operation up to 5 bays high
• Replenishment and put away duties

Manual Handling duties:

• Taking goods from the line once production has finished
• Load finished goods onto pallets
• Palletising stock
• Move finished goods from production lines to despatch with the assistance of manual handling aids such as trolleys
• Lifting of between 5kgs and 15kgs required throughout the day
• Cleaning out of drums and tanks after each production run
• This role is very hands on and will see you get your hands dirty!

The Candidate:
This is a physically demanding role and you will be required to stand at machinery for the majority of your shift
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• 3+ years industrial manufacturing machine operating experience
• Having worked in chemical manufacturing facilities in previous roles is highly advantageous
• Counter balance and High Reach forklift operating experience
• Experience in High reach putaways and replenishment up to 5 bays high
• Willingness to complete manual handling and cleaning tasks after each production run
• Must be physically fit to conduct manual handling duties
• Must adhere to strict WHS policy and procedures on site
• Must be reliable and responsible at all times
• Capacity to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Ability to follow strict orders and work systematically
