Our client, a global brand in the consumer goods space are on the lookout for a strong Senior Paralegal to support a variety of legal matters.

The Gig:
Utilising your depth of legal experience, you'll assist and provide a high level of varying legal, matter management, and support.

Responsibilities:

Handle processing and reporting of potential insurance matters and escalating as needed.

General legal administrative tasks as required.

Organise and prepare conferences including presentation decks and event coordination.

Contribute and manage tasks associated with special projects and other initiatives.

Prepare instructions and briefs to external counsel.

Research materials for business projects and initiatives.

Draft and Review legal documents, escalating to Senior Corporate Counsel as required.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required in fulfilment of responsibilities.

Complete accurate reports for management and other business units.

Skills and Abilities Required:

Extensive knowledge of legal principles, practices and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, independently manage tasks, balance shifting priorities, and drive completion of team deadlines

Strong organizational skills including legal operations and file management

Meticulous attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion

Demonstrate an analytical approach and ability to reviewing files/matters

Ability to work independently and part of a team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and research skills

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc). Proficiency in Smart Sheets preferred.

Ability to learn various computer platforms (ie. Legal Tracker, OnBase, Data Systems etc).
