A well-established and trusted fire pump servicing company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. This business provides essential maintenance services to schools, hospitals, universities, shopping centres, retail spaces, warehouses, and building services across Melbourne. With strong contracts in place and a commitment to quality, they are now seeking skilled technicians to join their close-knit team.

Your new role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, diagnosing, and quoting jobs for fire pump systems. This role involves working on leading engine brands such as CAT, Hyundai, and Cummins. You'll handle breakdowns, replace engines and parts, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Schedules are planned two weeks in advance, with typically 1-2 jobs per day. You will have autonomy in your role, with the ability to stock up your ute in advance and travel directly to job sites without needing to report to a workshop daily.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Prior experience as a Pump Technician within the fire industry is highly desirable
• Experience with electrical control panels or diesel engines is preferred
• A- Grade Electrician or Diesel Mechanic qualification with interest in fire pump servicing
• Industry compliance: White Card, Trade Certificate, WWCC, and Police Check
• A mechanically minded and hands-on approach
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously while being a part of a supportive team

• On-call every five weeks, with an extra $200 bonus and minimum 4-hour pay for call-outs
