Inventory Analyst / Accountant

A leading national retail brand is looking for an Inventory Analyst / Accountant to join their team on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a rare opportunity for either an experienced Inventory Allocator or a commercially-minded Accountant seeking a role that blends operations, data analysis and finance.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Merchandising and working closely with Finance, you’ll be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels across the retail network while maintaining accuracy in inventory-related financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse sales trends and manage stock allocations to stores

Forecast inventory needs and identify improvement opportunities

Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, and Store teams

Perform inventory reconciliations and post adjustments in NetSuite

Track shrinkage, assess obsolete stock, and support monthly reporting

Ensure accurate landed costs and ledger balances

What We’re Looking For

Background in inventory planning, allocation, or accounting

Strong Excel skills and comfort with large datasets

Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a bonus)

Great communication and attention to detail

An analytical mindset and passion for working “in the detail”

Desirable

Exposure to financial modelling or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL)
