About the role:

Our business is expanding and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager applicant to join our team working throughout Central Queensland, Central West and Central Northern regions.

Key responsibilities:

Planning, scheduling and liaising with site personnel to deliver performance outcomes of day-to-day activities to meet project milestones

Prepare project specific documentation including technical, safety, environmental and quality deliverables including method statements, MDRs, plans and any other documentation required

Ensure all project QA documents are site specific, relevant and implemented to an acceptable standard including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).

Project administration as reasonably required i.e. preparation / review of timesheets, project reports etc

Proactively inspect project activities to monitor progress and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings and standards

Provide engineering support to management as required

Manage requests for Information (RFI’s) and ensure timely responses and documentation.

Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

Promote a strong commitment to our safety culture and high standard of work.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Key skills preferred for this role will be proven experience, knowledge and understanding in all aspects of civil construction:

Relevant tertiary qualifications

Previous civil construction experience desirable in a similar role or sufficient experience with road and rail projects

Knowledge and understanding of project management methodology and demonstrated experience in project management, planning, and cost control.

Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships and lead, manage and mentor staff at all levels.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills and Project Management software

Strong organisational, communication and planning skills

Willingness to work in remote locations as required
