The Shire of Sandstone is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly café all-rounder who has a strong work ethic and previous experience in a café, for a permanent, full-time role in the Post Office Café.

The role is based in Sandstone, which is located 742km North-East of Perth and 495km East of Geraldton. The Shire lies in the heart of the spectacular East Murchison District - its bronzed landscape tells many tales of bygone days and is the perfect base for an outback adventure.

Sandstone is a small, remote, inclusive community supported by the mining and pastoral industries. In addition to the Post Office Café, the town has a Shire run caravan park and visitor centre, a privately run and well-stocked convenience store and an outback accommodation business.

This full-time permanent position has an attractive wage with an hourly rate of $37.20 for a 76-hour fortnight, plus a fortnightly Location Allowance of $50.60 and a fortnightly Sandstone Allowance of $115.52.

A fully furnished house, free power and free water is also on offer. What a great way to get ahead!

Duties include but are not limited to:

Front of house duties including POS, tills, serving customers, clearing tables

Preparing and plating meals

Barista duties

Cleaning duties

Ordering

Manual handling of stock

The person we are looking for (Selection Criteria):

Has experience in a similar environment with barista skills preferable

A team player who can also work independently

Well presented with a great work ethic

Excellent communication skills

Has the right to work in Australia
