Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter with a passion for machinery and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery, ensuring they are in optimal working condition to meet operational demands of our customers.

• Modern Fleet (<5 years): 8T – 48T Volvo/Komatsu Excavators, 15T – 40T Komatsu/Volvo Loaders, Bomag/ Ammann Rollers, CAT, Kubota, Hyundai Skid Steers, ISUZU/HINO,FUSO Water carts/Service truck and Tippers, John Deere 672GP and CAT 140M Graders, Komatsu HM400 Dump Trucks, and others
• Work Vehicle: 4WD Field Service Truck

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy diesel vehicles and plant equipment.
• Conduct thorough on and off hire inspections to identify mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems and provide solutions to faults.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure equipment availability and uptime.
• Assist with emergency breakdowns and provide on-call support when required.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the workshop.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or similar role, working with heavy vehicles and plant machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• A proactive approach to work and a strong commitment to safety.
• Valid driver’s license (HR or equivalent preferred).
• Relevant trade qualifications (Diesel Fitting or equivalent) are essential.
