Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter with a passion for machinery and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery, ensuring they are in optimal working condition to meet operational demands of our customers.

- Modern Fleet (<5 years): 8T – 48T Volvo/Komatsu Excavators, 15T – 40T Komatsu/Volvo Loaders, Bomag/ Ammann Rollers, CAT, Kubota, Hyundai Skid Steers, ISUZU/HINO,FUSO Water carts/Service truck and Tippers, John Deere 672GP and CAT 140M Graders, Komatsu HM400 Dump Trucks, and others
- Work Vehicle: 4WD Field Service Truck
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy diesel vehicles and plant equipment.
- Conduct thorough on and off hire inspections to identify mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems and provide solutions to faults.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure equipment availability and uptime.
- Assist with emergency breakdowns and provide on-call support when required.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or similar role, working with heavy vehicles and plant machinery.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A proactive approach to work and a strong commitment to safety.
- Valid driver’s license (HR or equivalent preferred).
- Relevant trade qualifications (Diesel Fitting or equivalent) are essential.

- Experience working in the plant hire or construction industry.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
