About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Fitter to work on large diesel generators, engine trucks, and auxiliary power equipment for an ongoing major infrastructure project based in Cooma, NSW.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in power systems or heavy diesel, and a commitment to working safely and independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and maintenance on diesel generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Respond to breakdowns on-site as needed
• Complete, accurate service and repair documentation
• Follow safety protocols at all times

About You

• Cert III Mechanical Fitting or similar trade qualification
• Experience with power generation, heavy diesel, or large engines
• Excellent fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
• Self-motivated and safety-conscious
• Ability to work solo and as part of a team
• Basic computer literacy
• Manual Driver’s Licence & Construction White Card
• Must have full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical
