An influential national design practice is seeking a Director of Landscape Architecture to lead its Melbourne team. This is a strategic leadership opportunity to work alongside a co-studio lead with a strong urban design pedigree. With major projects in motion and succession planning underway, the studio is looking for a confident, creative leader to take the reins and shape the future of landscape design in the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Co-lead a multidisciplinary studio with a focus on landscape and urban environments

Contribute to winning work across the Landscape division

Inspire, manage and mentor a team of talented designers across diverse projects

Build strong client relationships and lead major pursuits

Drive design outcomes and commercial performance

Contribute to national landscape leadership and long-term business growth

Skills & Experience

15+ years’ experience with a strong background in landscape architecture and leadership

Recent local Australian experience and local network is essential

Proven success in team management, business development and client strategy

Strong design sensibility and ability to direct large-scale public and private projects

Confident communicator and decision-maker with executive presence

Registration and AILA membership preferred
