About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Welder (First Class) to join our rapidly growing team in Paget Mackay North Queensland.

We are looking for a team member with experience with all forms of welding experience associated with general and technical repairs to heavy industrial equipment associated to the transport, automotive and mining industry. You will have a practical, hands on approach with excellent attention to detail.

Key Duties

Perform routine manual metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding and flux core arc welding duties

Demonstrated safety first work ethic and professional attitude

Ability to read plans and produce detailed quality work is desirable

EWP, WAH and Confined Space Tickets highly desirable

Refine, work, mould, build and shape, mild steel, Aluminium, Stainless, plated steel and marine alloy (Desirable)

Ability to adapt to changing work requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Willing to both contribute and learn from others; and

The ability to build clear and open communication with Management, Supervisors, Leading Hands and team members.

The key team members we are looking for need to have:

Appropriate trade qualifications and or experience

Current MR licence (desirable)

Proven ability to provide quality customer service outcomes

Proven problem solving ability with strong work ethic and attention to detail

Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements

A strong commitment to safe work practices; and
