Mechanical Estimator
Location: Brisbane, QLD

Core Talent are currently working with a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Brisbane, delivering high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and Electrical solutions across commercial and industrial projects with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for technical excellence, They are now seeking a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering and pre-construction process. You'll be responsible for accurately estimating mechanical services costs, preparing bids, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and working closely with the project and engineering teams to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and scope of works
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Obtain and analyse quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare tender documentation and submissions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine project strategies
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving recommendations
• Track and report on bid progress and outcomes

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services or construction industry
• Strong understanding of mechanical services (HVAC, hydraulics, fire)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Trade qualification or tertiary education in mechanical engineering or related field (highly regarded)
