The Opportunity

This role involves providing care and supervision of participants during recreational activity tutorials, while assisting with the coordination and delivery of outdoor and leadership programs.

You will help facilitate a variety of recreational and team-building activities, as well as support the delivery of leadership instructions and participant assessments.

Activities may include:

Cycling

Stand up paddling

Kayaking

Raft building

Amazing races

Problem-solving challenges

Shifts are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays, across the following times:
9am–11am, 11am–1pm, and 2pm–4pm.

About You

You will be someone who has sport and recreation experience, delivering programs and leading groups in outdoor activities. You have experience in delivering safe and inclusive outdoor recreational activities, including kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, cycling or similar.

Experience in undertaking instructions and assessments on participants in outdoor activities.

Experience in supervising and providing support to staff.

Application of First Aid procedures in outdoor environments.

Understanding Safety and Health best practices.

Essential Qualifications

Bronze Medallion certificate or equivalent (Surf Rescue or Water Rescue Certificate), or an Australian recognised outdoor recreation qualification desirable (Flatwater Guide Kayak, SUP & SUP Rescue Level 1 or Cycling Instructor certification.)

First Aid and CPR Certificate.

National Police Clearance.

Working with Children Check.
